In Touch is an app for the elderly we made in special project where groups (made of a UI/UX designer, a managment college student and a tech student in highschool) get together and create new product.
the app is hebrew and intended to israeli users
What can you, as an elderly citizen, do when you help with the little things? you know, like changing a light bulb, fixing a hole in the wall, someone to take your dog for a walk when you're not feeling well, or even just want some company?
Call social services? that's not what they are there for. Call youe kids? what if thet live far away?

I took part as a volunteer in special project where groups (made of a UI/UX designer, a managment college student and a tech student in highschool) get together and create new product.
We chose to do this app after realizing it's potential and the fact that there aren't really solutions, at least not the way we were planning it.
Who?
Our users are retired citizens, usually live alone and are occasionally in need for help with the little things i mentioned above
The problem
There are may apps and application dedicated to matter of taking care of the elderlies, but they are usually apps for volunteers. There isn't a product where the user is the elder person himself.
we wanted to change that
Our goals
provide a solution that put the elderly citizen as the user
create a product that takes into consideration the limitations of the user
Create an app that is as easy to use as possible
What did we do?
Kept it as simple as possible.
use of buttons and visuals
making sure every step and action is explained, so the user doesn't feel that he might make a mistake that he can't change
Use bold colors, big clear fonts and the visual elements are big enough
result
A flow for "help at home"
The product is currently being developed and invested in by the Kiryat Yam Municipality in order to test it with the local elderly community.
